All members and guests of the Fort Dodge Community Recreational Center must have signed an agreement or liability form before entering any REC facility or using any REC equipment. All Downtown REC members and guests must check in at the front desk by scanning their I.D. card, stating their name, or by signing into the guest book.
All members with access to REC24 must scan in with their own REC24 card to enter the facility. Every individual must acquire a card to use REC24; family members can not share cards. Members that fail to scan in, sneak people in, or use someone else's card, will be terminated after an initial warning.
Memberships may either be paid monthly by drafting directly from a bank account (ACH), or by paying in full for the year or 6 months. A hard or printed copy of your routing and account number is required when starting a monthly membership.
Members signing up for monthly bank drafts can cancel anytime by stopping inside the Downtown REC Center and filling out a cancellation form. Cancellations must be filled out or sent at least 15 days before your set bank draft date to ensure the membership will not be redrafted. If you are unable to cancel in person, you must send an email or letter stating you would like to end your membership. Memberships are non-refundable and are non-transferable to another person.
Only 1 discount may be added to the membership and covers only the membership price, any additional services are full price. Discounts for employees at certain businesses require proof of employment, such as a work I.D. or pay stub, and must be renewed every year to ensure your employment status with the business. Financial assistance, senior, and youth memberships are all counted as discounted prices and no other discounts can be added.
A reactivation fee of $75 will be added if you cancel your membership within 376 days of rejoining. This fee may be waived depending on the reasoning for canceling, such as surgery and illness.
Financial assistance memberships are only valid for 1 year after being accepted. A new Financial Assistance application must be submitted to re-evaluate your income.
